Have you ever been curious about how Business Analysts operate across different industries?

We're excited to launch "A Day in the Life of a BA".

Each month, we invite passionate BA professionals to share real-world experiences, daily routines, challenges, and insights into their industry.

As part of this month, we’re excited to welcome  Rakesh Singh - a seasoned BA who will give us a practical look into the world of business analysis in Real Estate.

Rakesh Kumar Singh is a Business Analyst with ten plus years of experience working at the intersection of technology, real estate, fintech and enterprise systems. He holds an engineering degree and an MBA β€” a combination that gives him both technical rigour and strategic perspective. Rakesh began his BA career at Embassy Group, one of India’s leading real estate developers, before moving into financial services at Fidelity National Financial & American Express. He recently worked at StrategicERP, where he managed a portfolio of 30+ national and international clients across Africa, Dubai, and Indian EPCs, PSUs, etc, leading a team of business analysts and driving software and technology adoption initiatives to help clients scale their operations. Rakesh is passionate about the evolving role of the BA as a strategic partner in a world of rapid digital change.

What does a Business Analyst actually do when the industry is real estate, and the technology is an enterprise resource planning platform serving clients across three continents? This session answers that with candour and detail. Rakesh Singh draws on 10+ years of BA experience β€” spanning real estate, financial services, and ERPs, CRMs & HRMS systemsβ€” to walk attendees through a real working day in the role. From managing a portfolio of 30–40 national and international clients across Africa, Dubai, and Indian EPCs, Public Listed Companies & Private Developers Units, to driving AI and technology adoption initiatives that help organisations scale, this session explores how the BA role is as much about people and cultures as it is about systems and requirements.

πŸ’‘ What you’ll learn:

β€’ How BA work differs in a real estate ERP context versus traditional software projects

β€’ How to manage a large client portfolio (30–40 clients) with a lean team and maintain delivery quality

β€’ What does working with international clients β€” EPCs, publicly listed, Private limited, including government-linked Indian PSUs or local government bodies β€” look like in practice

β€’ How to scope and lead AI and technology adoption initiatives for clients at different digital maturity levels

β€’ Strategies for stakeholder management across multiple geographies and cultures

β€’ How do we shape requirements & documentations?

Don’t miss this opportunity to step into the world of business analysis and connect with peers in the broader BA community. See you there! 🌟
