Have you ever been curious about how Business Analysts operate across different industries?

We're excited to launch "A Day in the Life of a BA".

Each month, we invite passionate BA professionals to share real-world experiences, daily routines, challenges, and insights into their industry.

As part of this month, we’re excited to welcome Oludayo Oluwatosin - a seasoned BA who will give us a practical look into the world of business analysis in the UK Public Sector.

Oluwatosin is a Senior Business Analyst with the NHS Business Services Authority, with over five years of experience working across Scotland, England, Canada, and Nigeria.

He holds an MSc from the University of Edinburgh Business School, alongside four British Computing Society (BCS) certifications and a Diploma in Business Analysis, APMG Better Business Case, and a Green Belt certification in Six Sigma. He has worked across sectors, reflecting a strong track record of delivering value across public and private sector organisations.

This session offers an honest, practical look at what it means to work as a Business Analyst within the UK public sector. It explores how BAs support the design and delivery of citizen-facing services, managing complex stakeholders, multidisciplinary teams, and the governance structures that shape how government works.

From day-to-day tools such as Miro, Jira, Planning Poker, and AI-assisted solutions to broader responsibilities spanning GDS accessibility standards, DDAT frameworks, government procurement, and the Five Case Model for business cases, attendees will gain a grounded understanding of the public sector BA role in practice.
