Each month, we invite passionate BA professionals to share real-world experiences, daily routines, challenges, and insights into their industry.
We are excited to welcome Linda Parker and Julia Newell - two seasoned BAs who will give us a practical look into the world of business analysis inside BA Life.
Join us for a special A Day in BA Life session where we’ll give a preview of this year’s BA Life event and a behind the scenes look at how it all comes together.
From the first idea to the day itself, BA Life is planned using the same Business Analysis mindset, tools and techniques we use in our day jobs. In this session, Linda and Julia will share how they approach stakeholder engagement, prioritisation, delivery and how BA thinking helps turn an idea into a successful event.
You’ll also get a flavour of what’s coming at BA Life this April and why it’s become a must attend event for the BA community.
Who are our speakers?
Linda Parker
With over 30 years of experience as a Business Analyst, across a variety of organisations both commercial and public sector, Linda is the perfect person to have at the BA Life helm ...particularly, given she was the European Business Analyst of the Year in 2019.
Currently, as a contractor, Linda works at the Scottish Government and when she isn't busy working on BA Life she mentors other BAs, runs half-marathons and has fun with her hubby and two dogs

Julia Newell
With a successful career as a Business Analyst of over 20 years, Julia sees herself as a trusted pair of hands who lives life to her own high standards and will persist long after others have given up.
When she's not spending precious time with her husband, two sons (at university) or two cats, she can be found listening to BA podcasts, volunteering for IIBAUK Board, participating in IIBAUK’s Mentoring programme and of course, busying away with BA Life!
